Season 2 Episode 50

It was 7 A.M. , June 10, 1912 when Mary Peckham became concerned after she noticed that the family who lived next door had not come out to do their morning chores.  The Moore family consisted of parents Josiah, Sarah and their four children: Herman Montgomery (11), Mary Katherine (10), Arthur Boyd (7), and Paul Vernon (5).

Mary knocked on the Moores' door. When nobody answered, she tried to open the door and discovered that it was locked. She called Ross Moore, Josiah's brother to let him know she was concerned.  He said he would come over to check out the scene.

He would enter the home and would find a horrific murder scene with an entire family butchered by an axe killer.  To this day the case has not been solved and many believe this family fell victim to a serial killer who left a trail of axe murders along the railway.
